Velvet Night

Velvet Night is a B&W action that creates a rich and velvety image full of deep moody blacks. If you are interested in the "low contrast" black and white look that has been going around, this is the perfect action for you! It's great to add a ghostly or vintage effect to your images! This is an action I use A LOT on my own images, I'm even a little hesitant to put it out there, but I hope you enjoy it!


I saw the new Premium content option and decided to test it out with some of my personal actions that I like to use. All of them are made with adjustment filters and thus completely adjustable with masking and the option to take out layers completely or make them more or less visible. A lot of the time I don't use them completely straight, I'll adjust each individual layer to make it suit the photograph, and sometimes add a few more layers to make it completely right.

The preview images show before and afters of appying this action completely straight at 100%, obviously actions are much more versatile than this, but these should give you a great idea of the effects they can have on a photograph at full capacity! If you want to turn down the effect of the whole action, click on the folder that holds it all together, and decrease the opacity.
