Today I am featuring something outside of the photography genres I usually feature. And what better way to do that than to share with you

Queen-Kitty? I find myself wanting to reach out and pet this lovely little creature. The soft focus makes it even more cuddly and inviting. This is the epitome of Adorable. (

Now that I've done the first part, it's onto the second!
To begin, I am rather fond of the way you've captured this image. Truly. The colors are so lightweight and airy, and the muted lighting really softens the edges of this piece. The effect makes the entire photograph look so... delicate. Fragile. Yet beaming with strength. And, dare I say, hope? Nice detail on the fur, by the way. There are so many textures there, and you did a great job capturing them.
Whether or not you meant to do this, I am a big fan of the way you've focused on both the squirrel's arm and the smallest finger of the hand holding her -- as if to emphasize the "Little Things in Life" motif that runs through the deviation and the touching Artist Comments. Very nice!
Although I could go on forever listing every aspect of this photograph that I love (and how much I enjoyed the rest of your gallery, for that matter!), there were two things that struck me as a bit odd. I thought I'd bring them to your attention so that you could keep them in mind for future photographs.
First, the masses: Those two blurry forms in the corners of your photograph tend to draw my attention away from the subject of the photograph. Were those intentional -- or just something you didn't notice in the background when you took the photograph? (I've done that sooo many times...
In the future, be careful photographing the 3D world: Some things just don't translate quite as well once they're smushed into two dimensions.
Second, the cropped finger: To be honest, the only reason I noticed this was because of the aforementioned background blurs.
But! I digress: All in all, I love this photograph very, very much. You did a wonderful job. The photograph is alive, real, and heartfelt. (And it's a squirrel, which automatically makes it THAT much better.
Thank you so much for sharing, and congratulations on the Daily Deviation!
