Description

One of my favorite make up artists, Jess and I wanted to put together a 70s themed editorial in the photoshoot trailer (that has plenty of 70s decor inside).  She owns a small Etsy vintage store and so like me has a large collection of vintage goodies.  We decided to pair up our goods to create the styling, and it basically worked out perfectly.  Laura does a model workshop with young girls to help expose them to shooting fashion, and she ended up bringing on of her workshop girls, Rachel with her to shoot with.  So, we basically had an awesomely creative team, and I could not be happier with how this shoot turned out! The editorial name "Say You Love Me" was named after the Fleetwood Mac song of the same name

The soft focus was the right decision. The highlights in the model's hair are so compelling. The paneling, I get: "the 1970's".. Well-done. The "Farrah" hairstyle as well fits the 1970's theme quite well. I'd like to see this somehow "accidental" collaboration to happen again if possible. This shot is a keeper, are the talents of both the photographer and the makeup-stylist technician. Maybe the only thing I'd change (if anything) would be the addition of some low-wattage fills with some color-gels. Now, if they are already there, then I apologize..I hope lots of others will also enjoy this photo.
