Just Within Reach

- For practially my whole life I've wanted a library. I've been a lover of books since a young age, my mother used to read to me when I was too young to read to myself.  My only stumble with books was when I was in the first grade and couldn't read well.  I was so embarassed.  Come to find out, I badly needed glasses.  My relationship with books grew from there.  In high school, I was harassed by others when I just wanted to sit on the bus and read, but getting lost in a different world drowned out the noise of negative remarks.  So fast forward when I moved into my first house this year. I really, really wanted a library; the amount of books I own is crazy.  Bookshelf shopping was frustrating, cheap materials and thin, sagging shelves proved to be the norm even in pricey units. After seeing options, my dad intervened and started pricing out wood for him to build them for me. Within about a week, I had a wall of bookshelves that looked like they had always been there. They never fail to make me smile when I see them

Same styling as "Dream Girl," but I shot these inside of my house working with the natural lighting coming in through windows and such.  I am always really enamored with photographers who work so successfully with a small amount of available light, ao I figured I should probably work on getting better at it.
