Description

Laura told me this was one of her most favorite images, which is awesome, because it's one of mine as well!  Its got a quick little story behind it too :aww:  It was at the very end of the day and I saw Laura running back through the grass helping me pick up some of the things I had left behind.  I saw her running in this dress and it was just amazing, she looked so happy and perfect. So, I asked her if she could just go back and run and spin and do whatever crazy thing she wanted to.  So I snapped away, and Laura ran around, and it was just another simple moment that felt like perfection. We had been told it was going to rain all day, our original hairstylist canceled on us last minute, the grocery store was nearly out of flowers since it was the day after Valentine's day; and yet we floated through the shoot like it was just all meant to be.  Perfect yet imperfect.  I love when things just work.

I saw the Stevie Nicks reference but these comments may inappropriately infer a copy of some previous visual image. I think that unnecessarily depreciates the value of this image or these images. Technically, the focus, shutter speed and contrast is spot on. The is some motion blur in the secondary images which is a plus. You don't mention this being a manipulation or a planned multiple exposure. If a planned M.P., kudos as that is a lost art. If a Photoshop manipulation, great use of layers-the ghosting was totally successful in communicating motion, spontenaeity (Sp-sorry), grace, energy and the emotional freedom of the moment. Love the fabric movement and the boots. Laura is a stunning model and I will look into your gallery to see more of this shoot and others that you may have with her and the body of your work now that we have been "Image Introduced." How successful is this image? It stopped me from going about my business. I had to share my enthusiasm about the image before I lost the words. I love motion. I love dance. I love beautiful women. I love images of beautiful women in motion, dancing and totally in the moment. Well done!
