There are two aspects of this that are worth highlighting. Let's start with the composition:
1. - Perfect framing. Photographer recovers the relative depth, movement and intense blue water, and also makes it harmonize with image that same refers to Ophelia to a mermaid-personally I favor the siren, although the title suggests a fish - which carries one magenta dress strikes a strong contrast with the deep blue water.
The movement of the dress is attached to the water and despite the visual shock of blue with magenta, provokes in the viewer the effect of an unalterable serenity. All these elements, perfectly studied, result in an disturbing as sublime image.
2. - There's high drama in the image. Contrast colors and bliss position of the model adds the effect of the back of the dress that unfolds like tattered fins ... or as the beautiful dress. Personally I love this form of destruction to create: destroy something beautiful (the garment) to create something even more beautiful than the original product. It is also an original way to divorce the frivolity of beauty.
Sheer perfection -- capturing this mythical creature in a moment of visibility - the mermaid. I bow to the photographer's amazing skill and this model's perfectionism. This is work, I know, having posed in water, holding position is almost as challenging as balancing a couch on your finger-tip. Enchanting!!!!!
